STEAL SUMMER’S LOOK: LABOR DAY SHEINSIDE PLANT PRINT SHORT SET

Labor Day usually marks the end of summer and September usually marks the beginning of fall fashion but I couldn’t let the summer go by without showing off this super adorbs and uber affordable floral print short set.

I would have worn it sooner but my social calendar has not been that busy. That’s why when I was invited to the Williamsburgh hotel for a rooftop pool party during Labor Day weekend I knew exactly what to wear. You see that’s what happens when you purchase items on a “just cause” with no real intention of when and where you’d wear it you often have looks on demand.

I actually purchased this Sheinside Plant Print Top with Shorts back in June. Told you my social calendar has been bare lol. I had been familiar with Sheinside for quite sometime but had never purchased anything from them. When I say familiar I mean I have an extension wish list of over 230+ items. Even with that I had never made an actual purchase. Not until I came across the Plant Print Top with Shorts. It was everything a summertime colorful floral moment of shorts and matching top was to embody. Not to mention it was only $16! Yup, you can go back and re-read that last line…I’ll wait. Not only was it a cute set it wasn’t a big loss if I was unhappy with the items. Luckily I was pleasantly surprised especially since these size charts can be confusing when your top half is in one size and your bottom half is in 1-2 sizes over. The large ended up fitting pretty true to size. I paired it with a white bikini top & bottom underneath although I had no intention of getting in the pool and messing up my hair. It was just to complete the pool party vibe I was creating.

There’s not much else to say about this Sheinside set besides if you have a vacation coming up this would be a cute affordable set. It’s a very thin and light fabric, comfortable enough for the hottest of temperatures and humid days. Even though the summer is practically over don’t be shocked if you see me in the top with a pair of high waisted jeans and a chic boyfriend blazer. I’m just saying!
