STEAL SUMMER’S LOOK: AUTUMN LEAVES AND LEATHER

The weather is finally starting to change a bit in New York.  That means I can finally start pulling out my super cute Fall essentials such as leather pants, chunky sweaters, and fur vests. I like to think that together or separately they can create amazing looks.

First let me say this entire look was tailored around and my choice of lip color. I had been uber obsessed over these NYX Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Creams I say fashion blogger Mia Ray rave about. I immediately went to my local Ulta store and they were sold out. I went back the following week and they were sold  out again. I felt like as soon as Ulta would stock up on them they would sell out in the next minute. It got so bad I just decided to place an order online. Fortunately enough when I did go to order them online Ulta was having an amazing buy 1 get another for 50% off….SCORE!! After seeing Mia Ray rock their Copenhagen color I was sold. I decided to line and fill in my lips with MAC’s Bittersweet lip pencil and then add a layer of NYX Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Cream in Copenhagen for that added ultra rich look.

 

 

Normally I don’t go for anything with flowers on them. It’s like my #1 fashion DON’T for me however, when I saw the leaves and colors it just screamed Autumn. Originally I was going to pair them with distressed boyfriend jeans but then in light of the weather dropping  to 50 degrees so I said you know what let’s pull out some leather.

 

Adding to the ensemble I paired my wine colored leather pants from H&M last year with the flower crew neck sweater. Wanting the pants and lip to do most of the talking I wore nude peep toe sling back spiked pumps to balance out the sweater that I purchased from Charlotte Russe a few years back.

 

And to close out the look I couldn’t throw on any of my leather jackets because then it would looked too matchy- matchy like a leather suit. Instead I opted to layer my brown faux fur vest from Zara for extra warm and a dash of luxe.
