STEAL SUMMER’S LOOK: DENIM SHORTS FIT FOR CURVES

It’s been a while since I’ve done this so let’s start with a, Hey Y’all!

As you know I’m in New York and for the months of April, May, and June we were on serious lock down orders with some of the highest cases of COVID-19. My only outside ventures were to the supermarket and drug stores and pharmacy’s for essential needs. I even had to celebrate my birthday super low-key which I’m not even counting since 2020 has been such an upside down year. However, at this point the lockdown has loosened up, restaurants are open with outside seating areas, and New Yorkers like myself have found lots of outdoor activities to partake in. Through all of that like many others who actually stayed indoors, I’ve welcomed some new quarantine curves and since my social calendar has picked up some of my denim shorts were not fitting around the hips or booty area. Soon as I got word certain malls were re-opening I went shopping. Imagine not being able to get your shopping fix in for 3-4 months outside of amazon finds. I’ll tell you for someone like me who loves to shop yes it was hard.

So I hit up American Eagle Outfitters for some ripped and distressed denim shorts to pull off easy interchangeable looks. American Eagle Outfitters has been a staple for finding quality denim jeans and shorts that fit my curves perfectly (hips, booty, and thighs). I was able to pick up 4 pairs of denim shorts in their curve collection in a multitude of washes for an array of looks. In this post you’ll see how I pair 2 of them so far with looks fit for any summer time occasion.

Both these shorts are lightweight, soft denim giving off a classic vintage rigid look. They also have just enough coverage with a longer length and a slouchy fit. No booty meat will be handing out but be prepared to show off why thick thighs save lives! Due to the style of these shorts you can dress them up or down. And they’re both under $50 each. I’d say that is a real steal!
