SHOEICIDE: TARGET’S MERONA “KONA BACKLESS MULE LOAFERS”

I’m so happy it’s been getting a little chilly because it gave me an excuse to pull out my Merona “Kona Backless Mule Loafers”.  I know you can wear mules during the summer months but these particular ones screamed Fall Ready when I saw them in the store. And now that Fall is steadily approaching I am excited to be getting some wears out of them. Read more after the jump….

First off I already had my casual chic look in mind when I purchased them, (blazer, white tee, chic shades, and mules). So when the temperature dropped and I had an excuse to pull out a blazer I knew this was my moment to pull out my Kona Backless Mule Loafers as well.

 

Sometimes you want to make sure you slay but don’t necessarily want to wear a heel, and that was totally my mood. I was going to spend family day with my Mom and Grandma and I know what you’re thinking, you’re just going to be around your family. But I have to get there first, Right? And in the words of Fashion & Business Icon and my Mentor in my Head Kimora Lee Simmons “Always dress like you’re going to see your worst enemy”.  I take that advise with me everywhere I go from the supermarket to business events. So off to family day I go in my perfect outfit in mind. I put on some American Eagle Outfitters Hi-Rise Destroyed Denim Jeggings, a white ZARA Wide Strap Top, and a old camel blazer from H&M that I hadn’t been able to fit since 2014/2015 now that I’m 25 pounds lighter, and my new mules!

 

These Kona Backless Mule Loafers instantly stood out to me because of the metallic floral pattern and the classic luxe gold hardware over the top. These weren’t your ordinary black mules or loafers for that matter. They were an over the top, dramatic hybrid of the two and I was here for it all! They’re so comfortable and easy to slide off and on you would think you have slippers on despite the fact you have a very small heel in the back. I can see myself pairing them with dress pants, leggings, dresses, you name it! The trick is to dress them with solids and let the shoes do all the talking. I mean for $22.99 at Target you can’t beat that! If I were you I’d grab them up now before it’s too late. If you don’t want to go outside and deal with those long Target line….Get yours here!
