TOPSHELF TOP 5: HOLIDAY SMELL GOOD GIFT SETS

 Holidays are steadily approaching and being the ultimate shopper and bargainista that I am I love this time of year to buy perfume. Department stores take their most popular and top selling fragrances and pump out these awesome gift set. And I love that because some of my faves don’t come in sets unless it’s the holidays. So I’m going to hook you up with some of my favorite smell good that are now in gift sets where the price rivals that of just purchasing a bottle.

Since I’m a VIB (Very Important Beauty Insider) at Sephora I get all the emails on deals which I’m sure most of you Divas do as well. Gazing the site last night I noticed some of my faves have some super cute gift sets. I’ll start off with TOCCA Beauty since that’s my newest addiction. TOCCA Beauty has a Meet The Girls Fragrance Collection, $62, which includes 10 sprays that embrace every aspect of femininity, beauty, charm, and elegance. Each fragrance is given a womanly European name (Cleopatra, Stella, Florence, Giulietta, Colette, Bianca, Isabel, Liliana, Margaux, and Simone.

My favorite out the harem is Florence. Florence is an alluring combination of Italian bergamot and crushed violet petals. The ivory gardenia combined with blonde wood evokes a sophisticated and feminine scent that conjures the elegance of a Parisian sophisticate. If this is what Paris is like I’ll take it, LOL!

Another favorite of mine is Dior’s J’adore! My fascination with J’adore started with the Charlize Theron commercials. She’s one of my favorite actresses so to see her exuding such luxury and femininity in those commercials made me want to go out and see what the it smelled like. Cause let’s face it you can’t smell parfume through commercials so something has to grab your attention to make you want to try it and Charlize did it for me.

And I was not disappointed! I think I wore this coming out of my D&G Light Blue phase. I received sooo many compliments on the smell of floral bouquet of exquisite Comoro Islands ylang-ylang, Damascus rose, and sambac jasmine. This Dior J’adore Gift Set, $100, will score you 1.07 of Eau de Parfum and 2.5oz of Body Milk to set the scent in for a lasting effect.

Speaking of layering CLEAN has a Perfumer Layering Trio, $65. Most people don’t know about clean. I found out about this scent just going into Sephora trying different scents and discovered this genius, Warm Cotton. You see CLEAN has multiple scents however Warm Cotton gave me that fresh, linen, just-out-of-the-dryer freshness smell….just clean! It’s soft and subtly sexy not over powering at all. I feel like a woman’s scent should never be overpowering.

In this layering set you get 1oz of Warm Cotton Eau de Parfum, 1 oz of Air Eau de Parfum which which gives a woody floral aldehydic fragrance that oozes femininity when worn alone, but has the power to transform each CLEAN woman’s fragrance into a new floral experience when layered together, and last but not least 1 oz of Shower Fresh Eau de Parfum. This will give you that soapy, fresh-from-the-shower CLEAN smell. The CLEAN line is something I can always go back to as an all-time everyday fave.

I have to thank my girlfriend Andrea for putting me on to Stella by Stella McCartney. I think we were in Miami and I didn’t bring any perfume with me and she let me get a whiff and I was hooked. The Stella Duo Gift Set, $50, is perfect for someone that embodies Beautiful and unapologetic femininity, who’s approachable and enduring at the same time. And this set will make sure you’re approachable because it comes with a layering effect of 1 oz Eau de Parfum and 3.3 oz Body Lotion.

Last but not least is the Chloe Signature Gift Set. This is an oldie but goodie for me. I couldn’t commit to you because too many people were walking around smelling like me LOL.

Any who, Chloe is more of a powdery rose scent than the others. The others were more like a floral bouquet. Nonetheless, the gift set like many allows the layering affect with 1 oz Eau de Parfum, 0.17 oz Eau de Parfum  , and 3.4 oz Perfumed Body Lotion. You’ll feel elegant with a velvety fruition through cedar wood, amber, and honey.

If I was told anything by grandmother is that a woman should be able to leave a room and still be in the room! Pick your favorites and Happy Holiday Shopping Diva!
