Perfect Poncho Weather
The best thing about the fall season is the layering. I have a sick obsessions with jackets, coats, vest, ponchos, etc. Speaking of ponchos, right now with the cooler temperatures creeping in its’s perfect poncho weather.
A poncho is a perfect layering piece for heading to the office to running your weekend errands. It’s light enough to sustain if it gets a little chilly and physically light enough to take off and carry if it gets a bit warm. Now if you choose the right poncho you can let that be your taking piece. Pair it will basics like jeans, a tee, and flats or sneakers. Or you can dress it up still keeping it the main focus with a monotone bodycon midi dress and heels. Either way you’ll be picture perfect in your poncho.
Here are a few of my faves to get you started…
This Steve Madden Geometric Print Poncho is perfect for work. The solid base colors are just enough for any office type of office setting.
Like most ponchos this one is V-neck with an asymmetrical hem. What I love most about this poncho besides the geometric print is the front toggle and loop closure. This Steve Madden can be found at Nordstrom Rack for $34.99.
Ok, so I’m a straight sucker for this red lumberjack plaid pattern. I feel instantly inclined to purchase anything I find in this pattern. This poncho is from H&M and although I’m not a fan of the fringe hem I totally adore this basic grunge poncho. It’s very warm due to the fabric and it does shed on black…minimally but it does. This poncho was only $29.99. It also comes in this in this Aztec print pattern.
Last but not least is this Hooded Poncho Jacket from Forever21. The dark khaki color screams fall. The fully lined poncho jacket can double as a rain jacket as well.
It has a hood that is slightly padded, slanted front pockets and a zippered snap button front closure. This olive/dark khaki Hooded Poncho Jacket retails for $37.50.
You better grab you a poncho that speaks to you before its time for heavy down coats and snow boots.
Happy shopping Divas!
