STEAL SUMMER’S LOOKS: BLUSH PINK LONG FAUX FUR COAT
Roses are red violets are I actually like my roses blush and they smell good too!
Thank God I’m not a poet so I’ll just stick to writing about beauty and fashion. Speaking of let’s get into this beautiful blush faux fur coat. I’m totally upset that I waited so long to wear it now that the weather is getting nicer but hey, better late than never!
This weekend I went to brunch with one of good girlfriends Crystal Stoute, who is the creator of the blog HerNameIsCrystal. We like to get together occasionally to break bread and goal set. This Sunday we chose to keep it very local uptown in the Bronx at Jimmy’s Grand Cafe on Castle Hill. The food was delicious with a wide range of selection from breakfast to pastas and fresh fish. To accompany our meal we ofcourse wet our whistle with classic mimosas. I’m not going to lie it was quite funny walking into Jimmy’s with my floor grazing blush pink faux fur coat. I mean if anyone has ever been to Jimmy’s Grand Cafe its really a diner but its definitely very beautiful inside. Me in all this blush pink and Crystal in all bright red and black. To say we stood out was an understatement but that’s never a problem with us.
My long blush pink faux fur coat was a steal from Lady Dr. Jays months ago for only $70. Yes $70, you see why I say a steal right. The fur is so exceptionally soft to be faux with a satin lining. It’s one of those throw on and slay kinda coats. I say that because they’re is no buttons, no hooks, no zipper, or no latches to close it up. What I’m trying to say is….it ain’t for warmth. Now remember when I said I bought it months ago, well I went back and its not there anymore but I found it for you online. Currently Nichole Lynel has the same coat at her boutique Shop Nichole Lynel. You will pay a few more coins for it but its worth and you mostly likely won’t find it anywhere else.
Underneath I wore the In Your Embrace Wrap Sweater in Pink from FashionNova. It’s a cropped wrap sweater in a fine knit with ribbed detail, exaggerated shoulders and long length sleeves. This $25 sweater can be worn as a layered piece as I did or alone. Just depends on how comfortable you are with how much skin you want to show. To keep the look street chic you can never go wrong with denim. I honestly love American Eagle Outfitters jeans specifically their jeggings. My favorite pair are their AE Denim x Highest Waist Jeggings due to their stretch, fit, and the fact that they always seem to have a buy one get one 50% off sale. Don’t believe me check it out for yourself.
As for accessories I recycled a pair of faux suede over the knee boots in wine, also a steal from Lady Dr. Jays, and a muted pink Michael Kors bag mentioned in a precious “Steal Summer’s Look” post. If you try your hand at any of these piece I’d love to see how you put it together. Tag me in your looks using #StealSummersLook and I’ll share you’re looks on my IG page.
Happy Shopping Divas,
xoxo – Summer Terry
