BEAUTY: AU LAIT SCOTTISH FINE SOAPS

I’m always trying new things and products. So when I noticed my favorite blogger Mia Ray rave over these Au Lait Scottish Fine Soaps I knew I wanted to try them. I just wasn’t in any rush. So almost a full year after her discovery I decided to give them a try, and I am in love with the smell and feel.

The Au Lait Scottish Finish Soaps have this uber clean scent. Almost reminiscent of the smell of those beautifully fine soaps Grandma would have in her bathroom for decoration but you can’t touch. You know what I’m talking about. The Scottish Fine Soaps brand takes pride in their beautifying ingredients including creamy organic milk, aloe vera, and cocoa butter amongst others.

 

 

While I did not go shopping with the intent to look for or find the Au Lait Scottish Fine Soaps I was able to find them in my local Marshalls. So as soon as I spotted them I just started grabbing. I first picked up the Cream Body Wash and then the Body Butter. After realizing they were only $4.99 I went crazy! Hi my name is Summer and I’m an impulse shopper, LOL. I immediately scoured the beauty section for any bottle that looked like the signature black and white Au Lait Scottish Fine Soaps packaging. This included a second Body Butter, the Exfoliating Body Scrub, and the Hand Soap.

 

 

I usually use Dove body wash in the shower but I gave my Dove a rest now that I had a new product to test out. I loved that the Exfoliating Body Scrub was very gentle and not something very granulated and thick but instead very fine and made my skin feel very very soft. Using the Body Wash after exfoliating made me realize how smooth and moisturized it made my skin feel. My skin didn’t feel dry or parched at all and that faint very clean pure scent was constant throughout both of the products. A little tip with using the Body Butter is that a little goes a long way. It’s a very rich and creamy butter that you have to really rub into your skin. After using these products for 2 weeks I quickly saw that I had to be careful and not be so generous with how much of the Body Wash I was using because these bottles weren’t that big. Imagine comparing a 17.5oz of Dove Body Wash to a 7oz bottle. Yea, I had to chill because I only doubled up on the Body Butter not the Body Wash (boy do I regret that now).

 

 

Even guests in my home get witness the Au Lait experience using the  liquid Hand Soap I keep in the bathroom by the sink. I don’t have much company but the few that I do love it! The next time you’re in a Marshalls or Home Goods I suggest you scour the beauty section and just rack up. It was the best $25 I ever spent in a minute!
