TOPSHELF ITEM OF THE DAY: NINE WEST “THIS IS IT POINTY TOE BOOTIES

Recently I’ve put myself on shoes, clothing, and accessories shopping fast. One of the reasons is because I’m the girl in the meme that reads “closet full of clothes; wears same 3 outfits” lol. Secondly, I wanted to start to focus on really putting in the effort decorating my apartment to mimic my personal style as a fashion blogger. Then I was put to the test as a shoe-a-holic with these Nine West “This Is It Pointy Toe Booties”.

For the past month and a half as I stated above I put myself on a shopping fast from anything that was not pertaining to home décor. I was doing very good being that there is a Nine West directly across from the train station on my morning commute into work. I first spotted these beautiful laced up baddies in November on a random lap in the store with no intention to purchase. As soon as I saw them I knew I wanted to them however I was on this fast and they were $129.99. I refused! Periodically I would stop by to see if the price had gone down and they never did but I stuck to my guns. I was not going to break my fast for $130. It got the point where I would get off the train at whole stop earlier to walk a different route so I wouldn’t be tempted.

Fast forward to last week Friday, where I took my normal route getting off a train stop earlier but I decided to walk to this deli that I love to get fresh squeezed orange juice from not thinking that I would pass by the Nine West on the way. As I approach the Nine West I notice a huge red 70% Off sign in the window. Now that’s what you call a sign from God, lol! Ofcourse I went into the store and bee lined it directly to these lush suede and soft leather booties. They were finally marked down to $59.99…but I still didn’t want to break my fast for that. It had to really be worth it. I noticed the sign next to the shoes read $44.95 on select styles. I ask the sales woman are these included in the $44.95? And that when she uttered the words “No, those are $39.99 and they are the last pair”. Immediately my eyes bulged wide, my heart started racing because this was a price I could justify breaking my fast for and it just so happens I have sample size 5 1/2 feet. Without a hesitation I told the lady, “I’ll talk them!”. Tried them on and left out the store with my all black suede and leather crisscrossed laced up  3 1/2″ booties. From $129.99 to $59.99 to $39.99. I’d say that definitely puts these in the Topshelf Item of the Day hall of fame!
