FASHION NEWS: SELENA GOMEZ AS THE NEW FACE OF COACH
I have to be honest I haven’t been interested in Coach since my high school days. However one trip to the mall and getting off on the wrong retail floor might have definitely changed that.

With us being within a week of Christmas I was one of those last minute gift shoppers in the mall searching for the perfect gift. In light of that I was smacked in the face with strikingly vivid colors of crossbody bags dead smack in the front of the Coach store. I haven’t looked twice or even glanced at a Coach store or ad since I was about 16yrs. That’s when my obsession began, as a freshman using one of my mothers many Coach bucket and saddle bags as my book bag. Yes I was that girl lol! It wasn’t until a year later I started my own Coach bag collection. What killed it for me is when they launched the Coach Signature collection with the bold double “C” design on jacquard fabric. I wanted no parts of that and from conversations with many young adults my age it was a universal feeling.
Fast forward to almost 2 decades after that Coach Signature collection and a new relationship with Coach Executive Creative Director Stuart Vevers and I’m fawning over an assorted color collection of the re-visted 1973 “the little bag that could” THE DINKY! After gushing, staring, feeling, and grabbing the bag in every hue that was displayed, I enjoyed a thorough conversation with the sales person who informed me of the new changes going on such a Selena Gomez becoming the new face of Coach. Selena’s involvement with include being featured in the Coach Fall 2017 campaign, a special design project, and most important a special partnership with the Coach Foundation “Step Up” that empowers teen girls from under-resourced communities. I’ve always loved me Selena Gomez and think the collaboration is kismet!
Selena spoke on her becoming the new face of Coach stating:
I am so excited to work with Coach and love the clothes and accessories designed by Stuart Vevers. I am especially looking forward to getting to know the Coach team as well as becoming involved in the Foundation’s support of Step Up. On top of all that, collaborating on a piece with Stuart for next fall makes this beyond special to me.”
At the end of the night I officially vowed to do my blogger and influencer part to bringing Coach bag….starting with THE DINKY crossbody bag! Find out more bout the newest collection of Coach handbags here.
