TAKING PERSONAL INVENTORY: THE WOMEN’S STUDY BIBLE
For the past couple month’s I’ve been on a personal quest to get closer to God. It first began with a need of some constant positivity in my life. Fast forward a few Joel Osteen podcast and T.D Jakes YouTube sermons I decided to invest in a bible of my own.
Keep reading after the jump….
I’ve always shied away from the Bible because I didn’t understand it. The few times I’ve been to church I would always feel lost. As if it was written in another language other than english. I got discouraged and pushed my desire to get closer to God away. But as a new business owner of a beauty and wellness company, Topshelf Skin, I knew there were going to be times I would get discouraged and want to give up but I knew I couldn’t. Not if I wanted to change my life, which I so desperately did. I also knew I couldn’t do it without God.
I have to thank my friend Felicia who made me sign up to Joel Osteen Ministries website to get daily prayers sent to me via email. After a few months that prompted me to shift how I started my mornings. No more starting it with the ratchetry of Power 105.1FM’s The Breakfast Club but with audio podcast from Joel Osteen. I would listen to them over and over..even downloading them and listening to them on my morning commute to work. From there my insatiable appetite to get closer to my Father Jesus Christ grew bigger and bigger.
I noticed Lifestyle Blogger Mia Ray , and big sister in my head, on her own personal spiritual journey and she mentioned The Women’s Study Bible. She explained how it broke down scriptures in the most easiest way possible. I instantly thought THIS is what I needed! Now I can read the bible and actually understand what I’m reading. This was perfect! But because Mia’s navy is soo real The Women’s Study Bible was sold out…until recently! I was able to order and even have it engraved with my name.
The Women’s Study Bible gives verse by verse study notes, references to help you apply scriptures and verses to your life and daily experiences related to women, and much more. I’m soo elated to dive into my bible. Even though I’m still committed to my one book a month goal I will get my time in for my Women’t Study Bible every day.
