STEAL SUMMERS LOOK: FRUIT OF THE LOOM MEN’S DUAL DEFENSE ELASTIC BOTTOM SWEATPANTS
There are days I just want to throw on some jeans and then there are days where I want to just be comfortable. Let me rephrase that to comfortable and yet still chic. Someone who pulls this off oh so effortlessly is Kim Kardashian West. I took a page from her book and dressed up some regular sweatpants for a night out on the town.
See more after the jump…..
After her robbery incident in Paris Kim was seen in more modest non flashy attire. One of her staples have been sweatpants and booties. I’m sure the last thing she was trying to do was start a fashion trend but here we are.
For the week of Thanksgiving I knew I was going to be out a lot more so because I have two friends who are Thanksgiving week babies. So to be prepared I sorted all my looks out, conducted full fittings from everything down to the bag and accessories, and hung them up by outfit on one hanger. Maybe one day I’ll show you what I mean and how to sort out looks for special events or even just the week. Anywho, I knew I wanted to be comfortable for the beginning of the week so I pieced together this look with a bodysuit, sweatpants, and booties in mind.
I want to say I thought my true red Fruit of the Loom Men’s Dual Defense Elastic Bottom Sweatpants were the highlight of the look since I styled every other piece around it but I was wrong. What most loved about the look was the bodysuit /bra situation I had to improvise at the last minute. The Maddie Plunge Strap bodysuit was the same Boohoo bodysuit I wore under my metallic lace NYE dress from last year. You know when you haven’t worn something in a while and when you go to pull it out again you remember why you never wore it again? Well that was my situation. This bodysuit was very ill fitting on the bust area with weird metal boning along the cup. Because of that I placed my harness strap Missguided bra underneath the bodysuit tucking its sleeves inside making it strapless and pulling it down to mimic the overlay of the bra. Being that both were black it looked like one full bodysuit. I finished the look off with my favorite Nine West booties that I can’t find anywhere ladies, sorry I tried. But don’t worry, I have everything you need to re-create this look for yourself here. I can’t wait to see you slay this affordable comfy chic look.
Until next time!
Happy Shopping Divas,
xoxo – Summer Terry
