DESIGNER DUPE: YARA SHAHID’S FLORAL DOLCE & GABBANA GOWN
I’m not usually crazy about floral patterns or accents on clothing. However, Yara Shahidi was a vision in a floral long sleeve floor length gown at the Harpers BAZAAR’s 150 Most Fashionable Women Celebration in West Hollywood at the Sunset Tower Hotel.

Yaris is a stunning young lady and reminds me of my curl crush fashionista Tracee Ellis Ross (who also stunned at the event) with each playful look I see her grace the carpet with. Her Dolce & Gabbana floral gown with long sheer sleeves, pink and black full tulle embroidered skirt drew me in instantly. I may not have a particular place in mind to wear such a frock just yet but that doesn’t mean I can’t be prepared. I also can dress it down with some booties and a leather moto jacket. You know how I feel about transitional pieces. So I found a designer dupe that would fit a frustlaista’s budget like mine to give me the ok to treat myself.
This Lace Tier Floral Midi Dress from TOPSHOP was ideal and pretty identical to the vision. Unlike the Dolce & Gabbana full tulle skirt, this TOPSHOP dress has a tiered tulle skirt as well as a higher neckline. The floral embroidery is multicolored with added hues of not only pink but with greens, blues, and orange. The best part is the price tag of $100.
